5th Global Procurement Summit (GPS 2020)

AIMA conducted the 5th Global Procurement Summit (GPS) in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Finance, Government of India and the World Bank on 10 -11 February 2020 at New Delhi.

The theme of the summit was ‘Procurement in 21st Century’. GPS 2020 focuses on Technology in Procurement, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and Alternate Dispute Resolution and Contract Management as the key areas of deliberation.

The Summit was honored by the presence of, Mr. Suresh Prabhu, India’s Sherpa at G20, Dr. T V Somnathan, Secretary (Expenditure), Ministry of Finance, Mr. Junaid Kamal Ahmad, Country Director-India, World Bank, Mr. Kumar V Pratap, Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ms. Manmeet Nanda, Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Talleen Kumar, CEO, Government e-Marketplace.

AIMA also had the pleasure of having International experts like Mr. Maurice Diamond, PPP Expert, IPATS, London, Mr. Shish Haider Chowdhury, Director (Coordination and Training), CPTU, IMED, Ministry of Planning, Government of Bangladesh, Mr. Xiaoping Li, Senior Procurement Specialist, World Bank, Washington,  Mr. Michael Graeme Osborne, Senior Procurement Specialist, The World   Bank, Washington.

The summit was well attended by more than 200 delegates from various countries like the USA, Bangladesh, Thailand and Sri Lanka. The topical themes and in-depth discussions were highly appreciated by the delegates.
