Girish Bhatnagar, veteran of over 45 years in Public Procurement retired in 2009 as General Manager of East Central Railway.
He has provided consultancy in Public Procurement Capacity Building and Policy to the governments of Bhutan, India, Assam, Odisha and to World Bank, African Development Bank and European Union besides Public Sector Companies in India and South Africa.
He has B. Tech and PG Diploma in Mechanical Engg from IIT. Delhi and has also studied at Stern School of Business, New York University. He has also been trained in Procurement in Germany with German Railway and Industry.
He is Life Fellow Member of Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) and a founder member of Indian Railways Institute of Logistics and Materials Management (IRILMM).
He was till February, 2016 Director General of IRILMM for nearly 7 years.
